We are excited to bring a cutting edge Axe Throwing Venue to Plainfield at The Shops at Perry Crossing! We’d love for you to get to know WHO makes up LumberjAXE:
Trevor & Stephanie Bernhardt
Trevor and Stephanie Bernhardt are local business owners and entrepreneuers looking to bring more entertainment and hospitality to Hendricks County. Currently, Trevor and Stephanie own two Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt franchises. One is located in Avon, Indiana off of U.S Highway 36 and the other is in the Shops of Perry Crossing, right around the corner from LumberjAXE. Trevor and Stephanie Purchased the first Orange Leaf Franchise in March of 2019 and the other in the fall of 2021.
Trevor and Stephanie Bernhardt grew up in Hendricks County, attended Avon High School, and worked at Orange Leaf (now theirs) in Avon together. They became high school sweethearts their senior year. Trevor’s analytical side and Stephanie’s creative side make for a powerhouse couple when they are working together! Trevor and Stephanie are involved in their local Chambers of Commerce, as well as in the local school systems, and love to find unique ways to give back to the community they were raised in.
Trevor and Stephanie also own Bernhardt Concession Services which services large events with concession food, dessert, and drink solutions. Some of their contracts are with venues such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Hendricks County Fairgrounds, Churchill Downs, Etc. Trevor spent the last 8 years operating and managing big name franchise dealerships in the Indianapolis area until February of 2023 when he went full time in managing the couple’s businesses with Stephanie. Stephanie graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors degrees in Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management and a minor in Business from IUPUI and has been operating the Orange Leaf stores and Concession Company full time since with hospitality and community involvement at the forefront.
Jordan & Stephanie Yant
Jordan and Stephanie Yant are also local business owners and entrepreneurs who have a passion for providing excellent customer service and creating opportunities for their community. They both reside in Hendricks County and desire to bring a much needed business model to the community. They currently own and operate Cabin Coffee Company in Avon, IN and will be opening another Cabin Coffee Company location in Plainfield, IN in the next year. They opened the Avon Cabin Coffee in 2019 and have seen tremendous growth and community support and this has created the opportunity for them to identify other ways they can provide a much needed business to the Hendricks County community.
Jordan and Stephanie both grew up in the Hendricks County area and actually met at Chick-Fil-A in Avon, IN as teenagers. Stephanie has always had a passion for serving people and this led to her gaining her degree from the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI. She showcases an outstanding ability to lead people and drive results while keeping servant leadership at the forefront. Stephanie has served in multiple capacities of leadership including the General Manager of Chick-Fil-A in Avon, IN, an Arby’s General Manager, and an Area Manager for Taco John’s. She has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality/food industry and is a dynamic leader who cares most about serving her community.
Jordan has extensive experience in leadership and has led teams of people for 15 years. Jordan was the catering manager for Chick-Fil-A in Avon, IN and then transitioned to logistics management. He functioned as the Warehouse Manager for an Italian automotive start-up Reflex and Allen, Outbound Manager for Sierra and the TJX Companies while achieving his Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and Operations Manager for the Kohl’s Fulfillment Center.
This new business venture is very special to both couples as every aspect has been crafted from start to finish by these four individuals. With both couples having a background of working in franchises, they feel blessed to have the opportunity to start something from scratch.
